We’re doing a Jane Austen module on my course at the moment, which I’m loving so much- in fact this whole course has been perfect. Since 2017 marks the 200th anniversary of her death, there’s been a lot of talk about modern adaptations (both good and bad), and last christmas I happened to spot a more*ahem* unique interpretation of Pride and Prejudice. Whilst we’re talking about what an amazing woman she was, how important her works are, how relevant they still can be; I can’t quite shake the knowledge that somewhere out there, circulating in the Waterstones and bookshops of the world, is this magnificent specimen:
